Content Policy
What we will and will not deliver, and the technical standards a release must meet to pass review.
Last updated 1 January 2026
01Audio requirements
Deliver WAV or FLAC at 16-bit or 24-bit, 44.1kHz or higher. Lossy formats are accepted for reference only and will not be delivered to stores.
Tracks must be free of clipping, unintended silence longer than five seconds at the start, and audible encoding artefacts. Leave headroom rather than over-limiting for streaming loudness normalisation.
02Artwork requirements
Square JPG or PNG, minimum 3000 x 3000 pixels, RGB, under 20MB, with no blur, pixelation or visible compression.
Artwork must not contain URLs, social handles, store logos, pricing, release dates, or any text other than the artist name and release title.
You must own or have licensed every image, font and logo used, including AI-generated imagery where the licence permits commercial use.
03Metadata standards
Use correct capitalisation. Do not use all-caps titles unless the styling is an established part of the artist's brand.
Do not place featured artists, producer tags, remix credits or promotional text inside the title field — use the dedicated version and featuring fields.
Genre, language and explicit flags must reflect the actual content. Mislabelled explicit content is a common cause of store rejection.
04Rights and clearances
Every sample and interpolation must be cleared in writing before submission. 'Royalty-free' library material must be licensed for commercial distribution.
Cover versions require a mechanical licence in the territories where they are distributed. Karaoke, soundalike and instrumental re-recordings of another artist's master are not accepted.
You must have the right to use the artist name you submit under. We decline names that impersonate or are confusingly similar to an established artist.
05Prohibited content
Hate speech, incitement to violence, content sexualising minors, and content that promotes terrorism or self-harm are permanently prohibited and reported where required by law.
White-noise, silence, generated-loop spam and other content designed to farm streaming payouts rather than be listened to will be declined.
Content that infringes trade marks, publicity rights or third-party copyright is removed on notice.
06Streaming manipulation
Purchasing streams, using bot networks, or participating in artificial playlisting schemes is grounds for immediate takedown and permanent account termination.
Affected royalties are forfeited, and platforms may recover amounts already paid. This applies whether the activity was arranged by you or by a third party acting on your behalf.
07Review outcomes
Releases pass review, receive a change request with specific notes, or are declined with a reason. Change requests can be resolved and resubmitted without an additional fee.
If you believe a decision was made in error, reply to the review notes in your dashboard and a senior reviewer will look again within two business days.
